Interesting article from Australia on the issue of police officers with tattoos. The New South Wales police are considering prohibiting visible tattoos on officers. Long sleeves and long pants could be used to cover arms and legs, but neck and face tattoos would not be allowed. Similar policies are common in the U.S. and seem like no-brainers to traditionalists, but others think this approach is too old fashioned and discriminatory.

One Response to “Tattoos”

If police officers want to wear taboos, they should have them after they retired from the force. I also noticed that many cops shave their heads bald, wear bandito mustaches and wear sunglasses which make them look like street gangs. Not really a positive, community, friend of the people image of a cop.
