Public confidence in police plummets in Canada

According to a recent poll, about 40% of Canadians have confidence in their police, compared to 80% back in 1997. The poll found similar confidence levels in the U.S., but even lower levels in the U.K.

    The lack of confidence in the police in Canada and UK was probably because of the drug wars and right wing politicans and business CEOs using the police to breakup strikes and peaceful protests. Not to mention, both countries were adopting hard core, kick butt American police force tactics and techniques.
