Deadly force in Indonesia

This International Crisis Group column discusses over-reliance on deadly force by the Indonesian police. The national police have a modern policy but apparently have failed to implement it. The ICG urges Australia to apply more pressure on this issue, and also points to the need for additional training and more less-lethal options for police.
