LAPD Dorner case follow-up

One year ago, ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner committed several murders and was the target of a manhunt that dominated the news for several days. In one incident during that manhunt, officers guarding the home of a possible target of Dorner’s opened fire on a vehicle that they thought was his, but in fact it was two women delivering newspapers. This article reports that the actions of eight officers in that incident have been determined to have violated department policy, and also mentions that the city already settled a civil suit with the women for $4.2 million.
