Although I’ve never spoken with Tom Nolan, I have had several email exchanges with him. He’s essentially Radley Balko with an education. Nolan may have been a cop at one time, but he lies far outside mainstream thought in both policing and academia. For example, he argued against providing his former colleagues in Boston with patrol rifles. He was also a consultant on the recent ACLU report on police militarization.

Where is his comment regarding white collar, corporate crime and illegal spying on American citizens since 9/11?
