Unreality TV

There’s little doubt that “reality” TV shows about police have helped warp the public’s understanding of real police work. This article reports a jury award of $850,000 to a Miami man jailed for 19 months for murder before being released. Attorneys suggested detectives should have “spent a little more time investigating and less time posing for TV shots” for the First 48 program.
