DOJ fails to prove a pattern or practice

This article reviews the case of Alamance County, North Carolina, in which a federal judge recently ruled in favor the sheriff’s department and against the DOJ Civil Rights Division’s allegation of a pattern or practice of racial profiling. It was the first time that such a case brought under the 1994 law was defeated in court.
