Marketing team jump starts recruiting

This article describes a volunteer marketing team’s efforts on behalf of the police in Savannah-Chatham County, Georgia. The team completely revised the department’s recruiting materials, only to discover that low pay and benefits were still interfering with hiring and retention. Their presentation to city council then led to pay scale improvements, resulting in a big increase in applicants.
