Nextgen early warning systems

Many police departments have adopted early warning / early identification systems over the last 20 years to identify officers who might be more prone to serious misconduct. This article describes an effort underway in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD to develop and test a more predictive algorithm.

    This article is way over my head with regards to understanding algorithm, how it is used in the new system, and trying to understand how the new system works. I never was very good in math when it comes to higher math like calculus, algebra, etc. Someone needs to break it down in a series of articles for the rest of us to understand.
