Domestic violence fatality reviews

About 200 domestic violence fatality review teams now operate in 44 states. Using methods borrowed from transportation safety and medicine, these multi-disciplinary teams “re-frame domestic violence cases as community challenges rather than criminal justice problems and … identify new ways to reduce the number of domestic violence fatalities” with a focus on system improvement rather than finding some agency or official to blame.
